Power on your Epson projector. Connect both your computer or mobile device and the projector to the same Wi-Fi network (Infrastructure mode) or connect directly to the projector's wireless SSID (Quick Connect mode).
Open the Epson iProjection software. The app will automatically scan and detect available Epson projectors on the local network. Alternatively, enter the projector's IP address or scan the on-screen QR code.

Cause: The client device and projector are operating on different network subnets, or the router has AP Client Isolation activated.
Solution: Verify both devices share the exact same Wi-Fi SSID. In corporate/campus environments, disable AP Isolation on the wireless router. If automatic discovery fails, switch to 'Manual search' and enter the projector's IP address directly.
Cause: Congested 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channels, low wireless signal strength, or heavy background bandwidth usage.
Solution: Switch your wireless router and projector to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi band. Ensure line-of-sight between the client device and projector. In Epson iProjection settings, reduce the transfer quality from 'Fine' to 'Normal' or 'Fast' for smoother video playback.
Cause: Windows or Mac sound output remains mapped to internal laptop speakers rather than the Epson virtual audio driver.
Solution: Click the sound icon in your Windows Taskbar or Mac Control Center and select Epson iProjection Audio as the default playback device. Also verify that the projector volume is not muted on the physical remote.
Cause: Excessive room ambient glare, low screen contrast, or camera distance.
Solution: Increase camera distance to approximately 6-10 feet from the screen to avoid wash-out glare. If the QR code still fails to read, use the Manual Search tab to connect via the projector's IP address shown beside the QR code.
Cause: Corporate endpoint protection or Windows Defender Firewall blocking proprietary discovery and streaming broadcast ports.
Solution: Add outbound/inbound firewall exceptions for UDP Port 3620 (Projector Discovery broadcast), TCP Port 3621 (Control signaling), and TCP Port 3629 (Video/Audio streaming data).
